Murray update: This may be a bit long but I want to post all the info I have. I am so grateful to his foster family and what an awesome home they have given him until his forever home comes along. It seems as though the original owner abused him and due to this he has a hard time trusting adult males. HE LOVES CHILDREN and trusts them wholeheartedly. He is your typical Newf and with time (and treats lol) can trust a male, he is just weary and a bit fearful. Here is what his foster has to say:

He is such a handsome boy! His previous owner did all she could for him. So far he has a clean bill of health and I dont expect that to change. Im not sure of his age but he doesnt seem to be a day over 7. He has great manners. Absolutely loves kids of all ages! In fact I would hate for him to go to a home without them. He attaches himself to them and doesn't like to leave their side. You can tell he completly trusts them. He likes to sleep a lot but even at his age he'll still get up and go anywhere you ask. He enjoys roaming our 4 acres with my 11 year old and occasionally taking a swim together in our pond. Murray wants to be with his people all the time. A family that has lots of time to just hang with him would be perfect. He is very timid towards men. It takes a lot of treats and patience for him to warm up to them but Murray will give anyone a chance. He will roll over into your lap and loves belly rubs. It'll be hard to let him go. The family that gets this guy will be very lucky! Just like a fine wine this guy ages well!!!

Did Murray ever find a forever home? Please let us know. I don't know if you had Calvin (now known as Patch). We adopted him through Linda Roser 8 years ago. He was 8 months old and blind in one eye. He is now 8 years old and a very happy young man.

Please let us know about Murray or any other Newfies that may be in need of a forever home.

On a side note, I wrote a children's picture book story about a Newfoundland family and Christmas. Well, after 24 years, I am finally getting it published. It should be ready by summer time. Let me know if you want more information.

Thank you very much.

I too would like to know about Murry, or any other rescue Newfs you may have. Thank you so much!

I just lost two miniature schnauzers who were my Newfie's best friends. Now she needs a younger full size version of herself. I would like to offer a forever home to a rescue Newfie
